It is the last day of April, just in time for the FMQ Challenge. This month is a Mr April!
Don Linn has been our teacher for this month, sharing his way to create and trace quilting patterns on quilts.
This method involves quite a lot of work before the actual quilting and I have to say that I found out it is not my method of choice, at this point of my fmq-journey, but it is nice have more arrows for our bow, thank you very much, Don!
You can see at SewCalGal a lot of people who try this method, and some patterns are really beautiful!
Finally, I rip out all the quilting in my second sampler and decided to use this sampler to try my hand with the FMQ.

È l'ultimo giorno di Aprile, appena in tempo per il FMQ Challenge. Questo mese abbiamo avuo un "Mister" Aprile!
Don Linn è stato il nostro insegnante per questo mese, condividendo il suo metodo per creare e riportare quilting patterns su un quilt. Questa tecnica prevede un bel po' di lavoro prima della vera e propria quiltatura e devo dire che non è il mio metodo preferito a questo punto del mio "viaggio" nel Free Motion Quilting, ma è bello avere più frecce al nostro arco, grazie davvero, Don!

Avendo finalmente tolto tutta la vecchia quiltatura dal sampler del mio secondo corso, ho deciso di usarlo per fare pratica di free motion.
